After the BBQ at Lee’s house on Thursday night I had a nice sleep in on Friday. At first I thought it would be the perfect day to be lazy and hang around the beach or waterhole, but I ended up going to the gym during the day instead. It was pretty quiet and Lee was there as well so we worked out together. I have to say a boxing session with him is pretty intense as well. He would be giving Tony a run for his money as trainer.
Afterwards we decided to meet up late in the afternoon at the beach to watch the sunset. Pete came along as well. We took some nibbles and drinks with us. First we played a bit of volleyball on the beach before sitting down and seeing the sun disappear on the horizon. The sunset was so beautiful. It was almost like it wasn’t real, as if I was watching a movie instead of seeing it in front of my own eyes. Sometimes I still feel like pinching myself. I can believe what a different lifestyle I have compared to my ‘old’ life. I don’t think I could ever go back.
Saturday morning I went to the waterhole by myself just to swim some up and down. I could go to the swimming pool to do laps, but I just love going to the waterhole. Being surrounded by rocks and trees makes me feel much more at peace than swimming in a swimming pool. Swimming helps me clear my head and I usually feel so refreshed afterwards.
In the afternoon Lee, Dakota, Cordell and I went to the swimming pool for our weekly swimming lesson. Dakota and Cordell had made drawings for me on paper and gave it to me. I thought that was so sweet of them. They are such great kids. We practiced for about an hour before we goofed around a bit in the pool with the four of us. The kids are progressing really well and Lee seems very happy with it as well.
Saturday night was a quiet one for me. I cooked myself a delicious seafood dinner and ate it on my balcony while overlooking the ocean. After that I watched some movies…
