Monday morning it was back to work again. I’m always looking forward to going back to work and hearing what my colleague Mark has been up to in the weekend. Mark is such a lovely guy and has always funny stories to tell about his ‘nerdy’ friend. Every week he has another story to tell about how he’s trying to teach his friends how to hit on girls. It’s hilarious, especially since the girls always end up hitting on Mark instead.
I love my mornings at work. I start off with the adult squad group. The group has really made progress in the last couple of weeks and the people are getting more and more enthusiastic. Some swimmers even bring new people to squad training so they can try it out as well. The group has been growing a lot lately. After the adult squad I have a group of kids for swimming lessons and then the pool is open to recreational swimmers for another 2 hours. At 10 am we have the aqua-aerobics group that is filled with older ladies, two older men and a few younger women. When that group is finished the pool opens up again for recreational swimming until the swimming lessons in the afternoon.
My weekly movie night has changed from Saturday night to Monday night. When Lee heard that Pete and I had a movie night last Saturday he was complaining that he was missing out on the fun. Since he has his kids staying with him until Sunday evening he can’t come over. We all decided to have the movie night on a Monday because it’s the first day of the week and Monday is one of the few nights Lee doesn’t help Tony out in the gym. Instead of dreading the Monday (which I don’t do since life is lovely here) they have something to look forward to after the weekend.
So yesterday we had our first movie night with the three of us at my house. We watched some older movies like Ice Age 2 (you’re never too old for kids movies) and Bruce Almighty. I love comedy, but it was decided that next week the movies had to be action or horror movies. I guess that’s what you get when the guys are in the majority. Personally I love watching chick-flicks, but somehow I get the feeling I’m gonna have to fight hard to see one of them or maybe I’ll just have to watch them by myself.
