Have you ever written a post and after re-reading it (before publishing) you decide that maybe you should not post it? I think I have about five posts sitting in my drafts section right now. All of them have different reasons why I haven’t post them (yet); too personal, too emotional, too much ranting in one post, etc. This week I wrote a post about what happened on Monday night/Tuesday morning and after re-reading it, I decided that I better not post it. Why? Because I was extremely angry when I wrote it. Now that I’ve calmed down I will tell you about it, in less harsh words.
Monday night was great; movie night with my friends. We watched ‘Knocked up’. I thought it was a pretty funny movie and we had a good laugh about it. After the movie Lee stayed over and the next morning we had breakfast at 5am. I thought it was so cool that he wanted to have breakfast with me so early. When I was ready to go to work I was in such a good mood, but that changed pretty quickly when I got to my car. I immediately crashed from cloud nine down to earth. Why? Because the tyres of my car were flat. Not one, not two, no… All four of them were flat! Turned out that some psycho had slashed my tyres. I have a pretty good idea of who might have done that, but unfortunately I have no way to proof it. Fortunately Lee drove me to work otherwise I would have been too late.
Just thinking about it makes me angry again. Who gives someone the right to do something like that? I do have a garage next to my house, but never worried about parking my car in there because I think it’s such a hassle in the morning. And since I live on the top of a hill there is no traffic to my house, except for visitors. I thought it would be safe to leave my car outside. Now that I’ve got new tyres on my car I am parking my car in the garage. I went to the police for a report, but there’s not much they can do without proof.
So this week didn’t start too good for me. I know I should not let it get to me, but it’s hard not to take it personal. Trying to get me fired, sending me take-away food and taxi’s and floading my mailbox with junk is one thing, but getting on my property to damage my car is crossing the line way too far.
