Naked guy in the swimming pool

There is never a dull moment when you work in the swimming pool. Mark and I have often been talking about writing a book or movie. Sometimes the swimming pool is the center of gossip town and other times the center of lots of funny situations. Yesterday we had a little incident that had me in stitches, but I was worried at the same time.

Near the end of my shift a guy walks into the pool. He was about the same age as me and from the start he was flirting with me. That is nothing unusual. I am sure that other people who work in the swimming pool experience the same thing. A lot of people have this romantic idea about workers on lifeguard duty. I have been compared to Pamela Anderson so often it’s not even funny. Anyway, back to the story…

This guy is flirting and asking me out so I tell him that I am already happily in love with a great guy when he walks off and jumps in the pool. And then it happens. His swim shorts come off. He is completely naked in the pool. As soon as he comes up for air he has a red face and he immediately dives back under the water to find his shorts. I was watching this in amusement because the whole situation was just too comical. After a while I was getting worried though. I’m not sure if he was swimming under the water with his eyes closed because he could not find his swim shorts.

It was taking fairly long so I called Mark over. I wasn’t sure what to do. What if he stayed under water long enough to pass out? I didn’t really wanted to jump in to rescue a bare-assed guy who had been flirting with me. We decided that as long as he was moving he was alright and we would not do anything. Fortunately after what seemed an eternity he found his swim shorts. I was relieved, but I was laughing at the same time. He didn’t even come up for air when he put his swim shorts back on. When he finally had his swim shorts back on, he came up for air. Mark asked him if he was alright while I walked away. The guy was so embarrassed so I didn’t want him to see that I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. It was so funny!!!
