I'm back with an award

Here I was thinking that the week that just passed would be back to normal again. Instead of working my regular morning shifts, watching a bit of the Olympics and doing my normal work outs I was back to doing 12 hour days again. Joan was still not better (or maybe she got caught by the Olympic fever???) and that meant another long week for me. The good thing about doing so many over hours is that Russell can’t say no to me taking some time off for when my friend comes over to the island.

On Friday I was so tired that Lee and I stayed in for the night. I really didn’t feel like doing anything at all so we just watched some Olympic sports on TV. I can’t believe how tired I am from doing 60 hours a week, while in the past that was very normal and sometimes I even worked more. Anyway, back to the Olympics. How awesome are those athletes? What a wonderful achievement for them to compete in the Olympics. I think every single athlete is a star!

Award Talking about stars… While I was on my blogging break the lovely EttaRose gave me the beautiful Arte y Pico Award. I feel so honored that there are people who like the writings about my life. I totally agree with you when you said that every single athlete is a star! I have been following quite a bit of games during this time and I couldn’t help but be amazed by the exceptional performance by these athletes. The one that left an especially deep impression in me was the men individual gymnastic game. One of the competitors fell from the ring routine right on his leg but he not only continued in the competition but made a great comeback to clinch the number 4th position. It was inspiring to see these athletes in competition.
