Monday morning I went back to work after a weekend where I hardly seen Lee and his kids. I’ve only seen them during our weekly swimming lesson and that was it. I know it sounds stupid, but I did miss him. I wish we could spend more time together on our days off.

When I started the squad training I noticed that Annie had not showed up. In a way I didn’t care, because I was still a little bit annoyed with her. On the other hand I was curious about how she would act, but I figured she’d probably just pretend like nothing happened. During our break Mark and I talked about the party and I totally forgot that he had said he would tell me something that I should know. Well, let me tell you that my week didn’t start too good after hearing what he had to say.

Today I am having a dull headache. Not from drinking or anything, probably just from thinking too much. The house warming party was not what I expected at all. It started out pretty good. The guys all seem to get along with Mark and his friend Nick just fine.

The four guys were playing a ball game on the beach while Annie and I were sitting on a towel watching them. Annie asked me why I had invited Mark and his friend. She seemed very unhappy about it. I told her that Mark was a good friend of mine and that I invited whoever I wanted to invite. She said to me: “That’s not very nice of you. As soon as you get in bed with Lee you go out and become ‘friends’ with another guy. What’s your next move? Cheat on Lee?” I thought that was a bit of a nasty comment, because it is so untrue. Mark and I could get along well as soon as I started working in the pool, but we never hang out together outside the pool. Lee thought it was a good idea to invite him so he could get to know him a bit better. I said to Annie that she was so wrong and tried to ignore her.

I am so happy that I have the day off today. The whole week I’ve been working long days because Joan called in sick again. I don’t mind doing the extra time at all because I enjoy my work, but working from 6am to 6pm can wear you out a little bit. So Russell gave me the day off. Instead of crashing on my couch after those long days I actually went to the gym to work out so I could see a glimps of Lee. But today I’m doing absolutely nothing - okay, almost nothing!

Tonight we’re having a small house warming party at my new house on the beach. Since I bought the house so late in the season it will be hard to rent out anytime soon, so I might as well use it until I get some people in. Tonight Pete, Annie, Mark and a friend and Lee and I will be having a bit of a party. I hope it will be heaps of fun and that Annie will be in a better mood than she has been lately. I don’t know what’s up with that girl, but she’s starting to give me the shits. Lee even said he wished she wasn’t coming, but since she’s Pete girlfriend I have to invite her.
